Decon Group acquires AceKare, strengthening its mobility platform

The acquisition builds on a long-standing partnership and brings together complementary products, expertise and market reach under a shared value proposition: Creating Freedom.

Decon Group has signed an agreement to acquire AceKare, the France-based mobility company behind innovative solutions including Yomper+, Enjo and Altoo. The acquisition builds on a long and close collaboration between Decon and AceKare, a relationship shaped by shared priorities, practical product development and a common belief that mobility solutions should create real freedom in everyday life.

The combination is a natural next step for two companies that have worked closely and strategically together for many years. Since long before the formal acquisition, Decon and AceKare are already aligned around product opportunities, technical collaboration, commercial development and the needs of users, caregivers and partners.

Together, Decon Group and AceKare will offer a broader and more complete mobility portfolio across power-assisted mobility. AceKare brings deep market and product development expertise, a strong established French market presence and a portfolio that complements Decon Group’s global mobility platform. The result is a stronger value proposition and meaningful synergies in many areas.

Mattias Lundin, CEO of Decon Group, comments:

“We are very pleased to welcome AceKare to Decon Group. This is a natural continuation of a collaboration that has developed over many years, where our companies have already worked with aligned strategies, shared priorities and a strong focus on user value. AceKare adds a highly complementary product portfolio, strong product development expertise and an important presence in France. Together, we can offer customers, users and partners a stronger and more complete mobility platform — fully aligned with our purpose of Creating Freedom.”

Cyril Louiset, CEO of AceKare, comments:

“This is a natural next step: we have reached the point where our ambitions exceed what we can achieve on our own. For our customers and partners, nothing changes day to day — the same team, the same products, the same people to talk to. What changes is what we can offer them next: Decon's portfolio will now reach the French market through our network, while our own products will reach further, across Europe and beyond. We have known each other for years, we share the same values, and several joint R&D projects are already under way. It's a 1+1=3 equation. A new adventure begins, and we are proud to join the Decon family.”

The acquisition creates opportunities for closer collaboration in product development, regulatory work, training, after-sales support, marketing and commercial distribution. Decon Group’s immediate focus is to ensure continuity for customers and partners while identifying areas where the combined expertise and resources of the two organizations can create additional value over time.

Cyril Louiset will continue to lead AceKare, which will retain its site in Lormont, near Bordeaux, its team and its brand within Decon Group.

At the heart of the acquisition is a shared belief that mobility solutions should make everyday life easier, more independent and more accessible. AceKare’s product philosophy and portfolio are closely aligned with Decon Group’s purpose: Creating Freedom.
