Destination Eskilstuna welcomes international travellers to discover Eskilstuna and Sörmland

Today the Destination Management Organisation (DMO) Destination Eskilstuna launch a new English website targeting international tourists.

In year 2019 an entirely new destination website www.visiteskilstuna.se was launched into the Swedish domestic market. Today, Destination Eskilstuna launch a tailormade English version to meet up with international requirements and search patterns of international travellers.

- During the Covid-19 pandemic international travelling took a serious downturn. We are very pleased to announce the release of a completely new English version of our DMO website, right on time when international travel is picking up again, says Petra Nordström, Content Manager at Destination Eskilstuna.

    Like most other cities in Sweden with similar size to Eskilstuna the vast majority of visitors have in the past been domestic leisure travellers. The main reason why to choose travelling to Eskilstuna is often visits to friends and family. The near location to Stockholm, as well as access to both regional and international airports like Stockholm Arlanda Airport, provides great potential for Eskilstuna to attract international leisure travellers visiting the Capital of Sweden, Stockholm. Eskilstuna is located less than an hour by train from Stockholm which offer international travellers a sustainable choice of transportation.

    The interest in Swedish culture, outdoor activities, locally produced food and beverage is still in high demand among international travellers. Eskilstuna, located just between two large lakes Mälaren and Hjälmaren offers a wide range of products and experiences for a large audience of travellers.

    - Our new tailormade English website provides a wide range of activities customized to meet up the requirements and search patterns of the international traveller. This positions Eskilstuna, our aim is to reach out to international visitors travelling across Sweden and the Mälarlake region, says Maria Ringström, Destination Strategist, Destination Eskilstuna.
