Tradition has become trend
Swedes has a long tradition of buying mixed chocolates in a box. Since a few years, hand-made chocolate has become very popular. This is no coincidence.

"I think people are becoming more and more aware of what they eat. The chocolate Robert E produces is a pure natural and it is, as far as possible, organic. This goes hand in hand with our whole eco-friendly offer” says Annika Sundin, MD, Details from Sweden AB, the company behind swedishdetails.com.

"We use no preservatives, and we always use genuine ingredients: high-quality chocolate, organic cream, real almond paste and exciting spices and herbs. I find much inspiration and raw materials at my cottage in the countryside. That is so natural and Swedish as it can be,” says Robert Eriksson, owner and founder of Robert E´s.

Robert E's chocolate has been selected among chocolate from around the world in Chantal Coadys book: Chocolate Companion: A Connoisseur's Guide to the World's Finest Chocolate. The book can be compared with the Michelin Guide. Five stars, the top-rating is very unusual, Robert E´s chocolate received four stars. All that Robert E creates is done by hand, nothing in the process is mechanical.

"The reason we got such good grades is likely because we dare to try new tastes and new thinking. I always trust my intuition and I am not afraid to try new things - we make very exciting and innovative flavors. I find inspiration from our glorious Sweden with the flavors of juniper berries, black currants and raspberries. I mix the classical Swedish with exotic flavors from around the world (cinnamon, cardamom, Tonquin beans and vanilla). Our chocolates are made in molds which are stuffed with the amazing fill. As we work with molds, we can be more independent when we create new flavors and our chocolates always have a luxurious form,” completes Robert Eriksson.
