Greece - wrestling with complexity
CIO View - official outlook from Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management and Chief investment officer Asoka Wöhrmann. With EUR 1 trillion of assets under management (as of January 29, 2015), Deutsche AWM is one of the world's leading investment organizations.
Asoka Wöhrmanns nine positions are:
- Greece will continue on its reform path and stay in the Eurozone.
- Oil prices could see only a slow recovery from recent falls. Deutsche AWM oil price (WTI) forecast for end of 2015 as of 01/12/2015: 65-70 USD.
- The oil-price dive will spur growth in industrialized economies.
- A moderate rate hike in the U.S. in the third quarter is expected.
- Low energy prices could cause low or negative inflation rates.
- The European Central Bank’s “public Quantitative Easing” weakens the euro.
- Equities are likely to benefit from ongoing expansionary monetary policy.
- Moderate yield increases should weigh on government-bond prices.
- Asset allocation of our balanced model portfolio:
- Fixed income: 46 %.
- Equities: 43 %.
- Alternatives: 10 %.
- Commodoties: 1 %.
