Små eller stora flaskor på hotellrummet? 

Det pågår ett trendbrott inom hotellbranschen. I en tid där miljön är viktig anser många att småflaskor med schampo, dusch, bodylotion och conditioner på hotellrummet är helt fel. Internationellt kan vi läsa om nya stora hotell som väljer stora pumpflaskor fyllda med de kvalitetsprodukter gästen förväntar sig ska finnas på rummet.

"Say goodbye to tiny bottles of shampoo and conditioner in hotels. They’re useless to people with lots of hair and bad for the environment.

Larger, refillable toiletry bottles are popping up in hotels across the country, as more and more travelers demand environmentally friendly options. One USA TODAYreporter noted that she has seen the new bottles in hotels in New York City, Los Angeles and London.

 “As time goes on, I think more and more hotels are going to switch over,” veteran hotelier Steve Halliday told USA Today. Halliday opened the Rosewood Hotel Georgia in Vancouver in July with full-sized toiletries.

Not only do the refillable bottles reduce waste, but they also give hotel guests the sense of being at home. The cost of outfitting hotel bathrooms with the full-size toiletries is about the same as constantly restocking smaller, single-use shampoos, conditioners and soaps.

And what happens if guests feel the need to lift the large bottles from their rooms upon checkout? They should be prepared for at least a $25 charge on their credit cards. Be environmentally conscious and leave the bottles behind. Besides, the full-size toiletries aren’t even airline friendly."
