Doconomy awarded by Mastercard and presented as Climate Change Partner by UNFCCC

Frequently awarded Swedish fin-tech startup Doconomy is presented as partner to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Along with corporate giants such as Facebook and IKEA, Doconomy are acknowledged for their work to advance the implementation of the Paris Agreement together with the secretariat.

“To continue boosting climate action and immediately lower emissions, we need to enable collaboration of all stakeholders. Our partners are good examples of cooperation to drive change towards and collectively strive for a climate-neutral world”, said the Deputy Executive-Secretary of UN Climate Change, Ovais Sarmad.

The ten Climate Partners will also be supporting the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP25 in Madrid (2-13 December) through specific activities.

On Monday December 9 Doconomy co-founder Helena Mueller will be speaking on the UNFCCC Action Hub Event addressing ”Zero Hour: Citizen Mobilisation for Climate Action”

On Tuesday December 10 Doconomy CEO Nathalie Green, speaks at another UNFCC Action Hub Event on ”Planet loyalty - new tools for climate action shaping new consumer behavior”.

The Climate Partner status was presented less than a week after Doconomy won the Mastercard Lighthouse Development Program 2019 and was crowned the top fin-tech startup in the Nordics and the Baltics. As winner Doconomy will be a part of the Mastercard global program Start Path that helps participants to expand into new markets and make their business grow internationally.
