STOCKHOLM & ZÜRICH – January 11, 2023 – During World Economic Forum in Davos, Doconomy will arrange a forward leaning event to showcase positive impact companies. The ambition is to provide a pop-up stage for companies that Doconomy, and partners, find valuable and promising with high impact potential. The ambition is for the event to recur with leading industry events, leveraging the Doconomy network of thought leaders and helping companies with positive impact.

For this premiere Doconomy brings together:

  • 7 Impact for Good companies presentations
  • 4 fire side chats, 1-on-1 interviews with high level thought leaders moderated by leading journalist Carola Ferstl
  • Live Streaming of all company presentations and fire side chats
  • Release of WWFs new Biodiversity Risk Filter tool
  • Release of CommerzVentures Climate Fintech Report

”The ambition is to provide something more underground, a movement for positive change. We succeed when all succeed and this is a way for us to use our success and network in support of other companies for good in a world much needing their efforts”, says Mathias Wikström, CEO Doconomy.

Leading up to the launch of the Stage of Impact Doconomy has received strong support from recent Swiss investors F10 and PostFinance.

”F10 are proud to support Doconomy in this constructive initiative and look forward to working together, alongside other partners to make the stage a recurring success. We are most excited about Doconomy’s growth and see them walk the talk in every way progressing in to the next chapter”, says Andreas Iten, CEO & Co-Founder F10.

As side from the presentations, WWF will release their new Biodiversity Risk Filter tool, developed to support companies and financial institutions in better understanding and addressing their biodiversity-related risks. The Biodiversity Risk Filter allows companies to take a close look at the locations where they are operating or sourcing from, and understand where and how they may be exposed to the highest risks because of the ways that their value chains are impacting nature, or because of how they depend on nature for their profitability.

Additionally, the venture capital firm CommerzVentures will release their latest Climate Fintech report. For the last three years they’ve been tracking the development of the rapidly emerging Climate FinTech space. FinTech startups that are driving a net-zero economy have raised record amounts of funding in 2022. In their latest report on Climate FinTech, CommerzVentures give an overview of overall funding volumes, the fastest-growing geographies and sub-sectors, and the latest trends to watch out for.

Many of the world’s leading banks and payment providers that partner with Doconomy gather in Davos during World Economic Forum. The initiative aims to create value for all parties and introduce a range of opportunities to help contribute to the much needed transition leading up to 2030, 2050 and beyond. The event is hosted by UBS and arranged in partnership with WWF, Business Sweden, Mastercard, Climeworks, Kapital, F10 and CommerzVentures.

About WWF ’s Biodiversity Risk Filter

The Biodiversity Risk Filter allows companies to take a close look at the locations where they are operating or sourcing from, and understand where and how they may be exposed to the highest risks because of the ways that their value chains are impacting nature, or because of how they depend on nature for their profitability.

The tool is accompanied by additional guidance to support especially financial institutions in using the tool and to better understand biodiversity- and water-related risks within their portfolios. The guidance explains how financial institutions can use the existing data sources to collect information on company and supply chain sites for a broad universe of companies, and highlights how they can apply the results of the tools to get an overview of risk at the company- and portfolio-level. To show how the Biodiversity Risk Filter can be applied to a portfolio of listed companies with the support of the additional guidance, a case study was conducted and will also be published at the same time as the tool is launched. The session will provide a practical introduction to the Biodiversity Risk Filter tool and the additional guidance, with the aim of supporting companies and financial institutions in using these new resources. Visit www.worldwildlife.org for more information.
