Our collaboration with Svenska Kyrkan on St Nicolai in Malmö is well underway. The project challenges us to recreate a historical warehouse interior while meeting demanding acoustic requirements — and together with @stuccomaestro, we’ve developed a modern ornamental plaster with built-in acoustic functionality. With this as the backdrop, we want to say thank you to everyone who joined us for Monday’s event, “Acoustics in Cultural Heritage Environments”. Seeing so many people show up really highlighted the strong interest and curiosity around these topics. Special thanks to: Jan-Inge Gustafsson – Akustikon Norconsult Therese Jakobic – Svenska Kyrkan, Malmö @svk_malmo Kristofer Mattiasson, Hugo Strömberg & Magnus Gustlin – @stuccomaestro Lucy Molander & Oliver Lühr – Dreem Arkitekter We look forward to continuing the conversation on heritage, acoustics, architecture and ornament.

Soon, Lomma Chapel will feature a carefully designed extension by Dreem Architects, offering seating for up to 50 guests. The new glass pavilion will serve as a bright and welcoming entrance where visitors can light candles, meet, and find peace – surrounded by nature and the nearby Höje River. The extension is crafted with great respect for the chapel’s modernist architecture, blending seamlessly into the slope with a green sedum roof and transparent materials. We look forward to creating an even more accessible, warm, and functional chapel for the people of Lomma – a place for memories, ceremonies, and tranquility.

Hjälpslaktaren – From industrial heritage to vibrant city life   In Stockholm’s Slakthusområdet, the transformation continues. Lipid AB is developing new homes and ground-floor spaces in Block H, designed by Dreem. The architecture connects the area’s industrial past with a modern, coherent and welcoming environment. Around 110 apartments will rise across seven buildings, with spaces that open towards Slakthusgatan and Styckmästargatan. Hjälpslaktaren is becoming a lively new part of the city, a new urban area where people can live close to industrial history.

New Interim CEO at Dreem – Klas Rosin takes over from Maya Iwdal After more than ten years with Maya Iwdal as CEO, Dreem is now entering a new phase. Starting in September, Maya will hand over the reins to Klas Rosin, who has been a key figure in the company for several years. Klas is a trained building engineer and has been with Dreem since 2019. In recent years, he has served as office manager and played a central role in the company’s development and project management. He now steps into the CEO role at a time when the industry is undergoing change – but also filled with opportunity. “This is a challenging time for the architecture industry, but we strongly believe in our broad expertise, our high quality, and our cutting-edge skills – particularly within analysis and digital tools. By combining curiosity and dedication with close collaboration with our clients, we create added value for both developers and users. It also feels reassuring to have Maya remain with the company and bring all her experience,” says Klas Rosin. Dreem was founded in 2014 and is now part of the Solwers Group. Since its inception, the company has worked across the full spectrum of architecture and has built a strong team with experience in both small and large-scale projects. Maya Iwdal will remain involved in the company as a senior advisor and lead architect on selected projects. “It has been a fantastic experience to lead Dreem through our first ten years. Now it feels right to hand over to Klas and the Dreem team, who possess both the experience and the expertise.”

We’re so grateful for the strong response to our exhibition at Röhsska this summer!  A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited and contributed with thoughts, reflections, and ideas. We’ve received a wide range of exciting input that means a lot to us. Now, the next phase of the process begins – where we go through and evaluate all the suggestions and perspectives we’ve collected. Your voices are a vital part of shaping what comes next. . . . What do Gothenburg residents dream about for their city? Together with the architecture firm Dreem, the Röhsska Museum invites residents to participate in an exploratory collaboration envisioning the future shape of their city. Through an open suggestion box at the museum, the city’s inhabitants are invited to share their voice: which places are overlooked, what is missing, what is appreciated? The result becomes a series of architectural proposals and visions inspired by ideas from residents themselves — offering a glimpse into how the city could develop when its citizens become the commissioners.

@rohsska 📷 @jakob.s.jensen

THE SOUND OF SLOWING DOWN Our proposal Lento Pavilion was designed for the Copenhagen Architecture Biennial 2025, exploring the theme Slow Down. Built from recycled and regenerative materials, the pavilion invites you to pause, reflect, and reconnect — with others, the city, and yourself. Layered bamboo filters light and sound, creating a calm interior where wind chimes respond to movement and curiosity. As sunlight shifts through the oculus above, the space encourages stillness, play, and presence. A moment of quietness in the rhythm of the city.
