Opera screening in the Palace Park postponed one year

Drottningholms Slottsteater’s planned screening of Agrippina in the Palace Park has been pushed forward to the summer of 2022 on account of waterlogging caused by the recent spate of torrential rain.

Drottningholms Slottsteater’s critically and publicly acclaimed production of Agrippina has been filmed with the intention to screen it to an outdoor audience in the Palace Park on 4 September. However, due to the heavy rains at the end of the summer which have left the lawns vulnerable to damage by the equipment, the theatre has decided to postpone the screening until next summer. The film will then be screened at a location in the park less sensitive to rain, and the hope is that COVID restrictions will have been relaxed so that the film can be enjoyed by an even larger audience. An exact date for the screening will be announced later.
