Efecte’s Net Sales Grow by Over 60%

Strong internationalization on a sound basis

Once again, software house Efecte has reported a record growth rate, its net sales soaring by over 60% from EUR 3.9 million in 2006 to EUR 6.3 million in 2007. Furthermore, growth in net sales during the previous accounting period, also by over 60%, demonstrates sustained growth. In Finland, Efecte's net sales increased from EUR 3.4 million to EUR 5.5 million.

CEO Kristian Jaakkola is satisfied with the financial results. "Efecte continues to grow at a markedly higher rate than the industry average, while winning more market share in Finland and successfully building up its business in other Nordic countries," he states. "We made major investments in internationalization in 2007, by opening new offices in Denmark and Norway. While burdening the company's 2007 results, this investment should provide the envisioned basis for boosted growth and profitability in future years, to at least the corresponding extent," he continues.

During its decade in operation, Efecte, which develops ERP for IT solutions, has grown into a leading player in the Nordic countries and is now expanding throughout Europe through its partners.

"We aim to become the industry's European market leader. This year, our focus is on growing our own operations outside Finland and expanding our partner network in our selected target market in Germany. We will also celebrate our company's tremendously successful ten-year journey to the top as an innovator in IT operations management," enthuses Jaakkola.

Internationalization is also evident in the growth in Efecte's number of employees. The company is currently employing 100 staff in the Nordic countries, with 70 based in its headquarters in Helsinki. It intends to recruit further in areas including information management consulting services and product development, and in its Nordic sales organization. At the beginning of January, Efecte came 9th in Finland's Great Place to Work listing.
