Mentoring & Coaching Network launches: Start-ups can find expert help they need
Deep well of knowledge from EIT Health made accessible via curated platform
EIT Health on 15 October 2018 announced the official launch of its Mentoring & Coaching Network (MCN), an initiative to help health and healthcare oriented start-ups find the expertise they need by connecting them with the right mentors in industry, research and academia.
The new network acts to amplify a key strength of EIT Health: the knowledge contained within its partnership of best-in-class organisations involved in Medtech, Biotech and Digital health.
The MCN actively catalogues and solicits this expertise available in Europe and provides a professional and structured mentoring framework to ensure that their knowledge has the highest potential impact. As a result, start-ups can get timely advice from the person who has the specific expertise needed. The mentors have an opportunity to learn about, and work with, promising start-ups, and also to benefit from association with their peers, the other mentors.
To create a vast pool of MCN experts, EIT Health has integrated its individual experts, partners, institutions and corporations across Europe into one robust, curated platform of quality mentors with specific know-how and relevant track records from around the EU.
These experts provide their assistance through guided mentoring programmes, designed to ensure quality. The MCN provides:
- Matching: Ensuring the right fit between the mentees‘ need and the mentors’ specific expertise.
- Engagement: Guided by structured and proven approaches for mentoring programmes.
- An interface: Empowered by our online mentoring platform.
- Guidance: Supported by our local managers and dedicated MCN team.
