Food for Progress brings in Navigio to unleash the full potential of its recent plant-based protein investments

Food for Progress is now implementing its new business strategy, which has been developed together with Navigio over the past two years. The goal: to become a market leader in innovative plant-based food production. The starting point this fall is to organize and staff their new high-tech production facility in Mölnlycke, where a major recruitment period has already resulted in numerous new employments and more to come. The new business strategy, the production facility, and several other initiatives make this the heaviest investment ever for Food for Progress.

According to a recent report from the UN Climate Panel (IPCC), a changed diet for humans, towards a more plant-based one, could reduce food-related emissions by up to 70 percent by the year 2050. The report paints a picture of difficult consequences, and the message is once again clear, “We need a transformation. Radical changes in processes and behaviors at all levels.” Food for Progress has for decades been in the frontline of creating tools to get people to choose more plant-based food. Their award-winning food brand Oumph! raised the bar all over the world.

Our diet today has a huge impact on the planet, but the planet is also mankind’s only chance to change this. Therefore, we must create better conditions for all living creatures and everyone who works at Food for Progress is part of that mission, says Anders Wallerman, founder of Food for Progress and continues, but it is also important to have fun along the way, otherwise we cease to be human.

The mission development for Food for Progress is one of our most fun and educational ever, says Peter Westford, CEO of Navigio. It has a lot to do with Anders Wallerman's focus on putting people first and "the rest will work itself out"-mindset. It is that kind of leadership and trust that builds successful companies.

Anders Wallerman elaborates: We have a fantastic, and logical, vision to get people to choose plant-based food. That is why it is extra important for us that the people who work at Food for Progress are constantly developing, and at the same time are enjoying their everyday lives. In recent years, Navigio has helped us live up to our full potential with a unique combination of professionalism and human presence. We look forward to welcoming new people and finding that beautiful soreness that comes from building muscle.

Navigio is driven by its vision to unleash the full potential in both organizations and individuals. To make business, people, and culture go hand in hand you need the right competence at the right position, and Navigio specializes in that. Even though Food for Progress has products and services in high demand people will always be a company core. That’s why the partnership with Navigio is crucial for the company's continued success in finding the right people to realize the company vision.

The people are the cornerstones for Food for Progress. Going to work should provide more energy than it takes so that you have the energy to have fun in your free time, even though we live in a time filled with negative climate reporting.
