Emelie and Oliver Lundberg Win Young Founder of the Year for Building a Successful, Locally-Driven Company with Sustainable Growth and Retained Ownership
In recognition of their deep commitment to highlighting the local Gotlandic resources in their production, Emelie and Oliver Lundberg, founders of Gotlandschips, were awarded as Gold winners of Young Founder of the Year at the Founders Awards Gala on September 19, 2024.

Founded by siblings Emelie and Oliver in 2018, Gotlandschips produces potato chips from Gotlandic potatoes, seasoned with local flavors like ramson and truffle, using local reusable biogas for production.
How the Winners Are Chosen as Young Founder of the Year
The Young Founder of the Year award recognizes young global founders with the capacity to lead, inspire, and run successful companies. The nominees are under 30 years of age at the time of nomination, have founded and run a private or public limited company, the founder and any co-founders together own at least 40% of the shares, have a revenue of at least 50,000 euros and demonstrate significant potential for success.
The finalists have been assessed by the Founders Alliance Index, which takes into account past performance, future potential, and social benefits, and they have been evaluated by a jury of experienced founders.
