Sven Hagströmer has always been driven by curiosity, where every question sparks a journey of discovery and every challenge is an opportunity to learn. Curiosity isn't just a childhood trait but a lifelong catalyst for growth and success. The legacy of Sven is a testament to how curiosity not only shapes an individual's life but also uncovers the remarkable journey of a curious mind and the impact it has on the world around us.

From a young age of 12, Sven showed a keen interest in stocks and technology. Although he chose to study economics at Stockholm University, his path led him to drop out and take on the role of a portfolio manager, first at Gränges and later at Investor. Notably, he now holds chairmanship in two major companies, Avanza the bank he founded over twenty years ago and his investment company, Creades, where Sven works with founders and business leaders to bring value by rethinking, challenging, restructuring, and developing both listed and unlisted companies.

His passionate commitment to social entrepreneurship drives him to support women's leadership roles in business, speak up for enhanced opportunities for children beyond those found in Sweden, and work towards the development of a well-functioning educational system.

In his pursuit of these values, he has played a pivotal role in founding various organizations as founder or cofounder including Allbright in Sweden and Germany, Berättarministeriet, Järvaveckan, and the Raoul Wallenberg Academy, among others.

His dedication is also reflected in his love for collecting books and letters - a pursuit that contributed to his part ownership of the publishing company Fri Tanke. And his collection boasts letters from iconic figures such as Voltaire, Rousseau, and Einstein, all of whom have served as an inspiration for Sven.

How the Winner Is Chosen as Founder of the Year Honorary Award

The Founder of the Year Honorary Award, honors exceptional founders who have made a lifelong contribution and a lasting impact through sustainable company building and serve as exemplary role models.

The award criteria include establishing a company with over 10 million euro in yearly sales, contributing to societal well-being, and no longer needs to be operational.

Evaluated and selected by the Founders Alliance, the winner of Founder of the Year Honorary Award receives The Growth Rings in gold.
