Founded in 2022 by Jonathan Backman, Sunhero makes solar energy affordable for Swedish households via group purchasing. The company ensures quality, promotes sustainability, ethics, and the transition to renewable energy.
How the Winners Are Chosen as Young Founder of the Year
The Young Founder of the Year award recognizes young global founders with the capacity to lead, inspire, and run successful companies. The nominees are under 30 years of age at the time of nomination, have founded and run a private or public limited company, the founder and any co-founders together own at least 40% of the shares, have a revenue of at least 50,000 euros and demonstrate significant potential for success.
The finalists have been assessed by the Founders Alliance Index, which takes into account past performance, future potential, and social benefits, and they have been evaluated by a jury of experienced founders.
The Founder Jury consisted of Chair of the jury Charlotte Ljung, founder of Endbright, Angela Rossi, founder of HRM Affärsutveckling, Emelie Lundberg, co-founder of Gotlandschips AB, Corina Papadopoulou, co-owner of Fontana Food, Marcus Honkanen, founder of Nordic Minds and Ahmed Hersi, co-Founder of Jovi.
