William Pearson and Nick Doman, founders of Ocean Bottle received the Growth Rings in Silver for the global award Young Founder of the Year at the Founders Awards Gala held at Stockholm City Hall on September 22.

William Pearson and Nick Doman founded Ocean Bottle 2018. The company is headquartered in London, UK and ships worldwide and has warehouses in the USA and EU. Ocean Bottle is a people powered solution to the ocean-plastic crisis.
Every Ocean Bottle funds the collection of 1000 plastic bottles in weight, and supports the livelihoods of plastic collectors living on the front lines of the ocean plastic crisis in countries such as Indonesia, Brazil, Ghana, India and the Philippines. Alongside the commitment to keep plastic out of the ocean and support livelihoods, the company measures their impact against four pillars: Social Good, Climate Action, Ocean Health and Closing the Loop.
Williams and Nick's driving force is solving global challenges with people, technology and enterprise. They are taking on this challenge to drive impact in the spaces of environment, sustainable development and social equality.
The finalists have earlier introduced themselves and their companies to a jury of qualified founders consisting of: Chairman of the jury - Lari Tuominen - Qvik, Patricia Olby Kimondo - People Production, Pamoja, Emma Rozada - The Techno Creatives, Aticka Chona - GreenKarmas and Andrius Franca - Alliance Recruitment.
Young Founder of the Year
Young Founder of the Year is awarded to young founders who have the potential to build a successful company, be a good leader and develop into a role model for other young founders. The purpose of the award is to encourage further success, acting as a catalyst to growth for the young founders.
