Wanting to break the taboo and make sanitary protection more accessible to women rewarded Lova Svensson and Amanda Mattsson, founders of Period Pack, as Silver winners of the global award Young Founder of the Year
Lova Svensson and Amanda Mattsson received the Growth Rings in Silver for the global award Young Founder of the Year at the Founders Awards Gala held at Stockholm City Hall on September 22.
“It's delightful to see that our work is appreciated since it helps such a large part of our population. We are to say the least, incredibly happy, thankful and proud over the award.”, says Lova Svensson and Amanda Mattsson.
Lova Svensson and Amanda Mattsson founded Period Pack Sweden 2019 and are the sole owners. Period Pack Sweden is headquartered in Örebro, Sweden and is established in Scandinavia.The company is selling dispensers made for menstrual products as a subscription service to workplaces, schools and municipalities with the goal to make sanitary protection in bathrooms as natural and accessible as toilet paper and soap.
Lova and Amanda want to break the taboo related to this subject and make sure that no girls' school attendance or any woman's work effort depends on if they are on their period or not. The products are produced in Scandinavia to minimize emissions.
Lova's and Amanda's driving force is to help women in their everyday lives. Both here in Sweden, and in Europe, but also in developing countries. Also, to inspire other women to have the courage to go their own way and never be dependent on anyone.
The finalists have earlier introduced themselves and their companies to a jury of large scale founders consisting of: Chairman of the jury - Lari Tuominen - Qvik, Patricia Olby Kimondo - People Productions, Pamoja, Emma Rozada - The Techno Creatives, Aticka Chona - GreenKarmas and Andrius Francas - Alliance for Recruitment.
Young Founder of the Year
Young Founder of the Year is awarded to young founders who have the potential to build a successful company, be a good leader and develop into a role model for other young founders. The purpose of the award is to encourage further success, acting as a catalyst to growth for the young founders.
