FundedByMe nominated for the 2016 European FinTech Awards - and other news

FundedByMe recently reached 60,000 registered members around the globe. The members that have invested via the platform have spent on average of €6,000 each and the platform is a leader in crossborder investments, with investments from more then 74 different countries. Recent pitch Marita Huurinainen in Finland proudly has more than 80% of the investments from outside of Finland's borders.

FundedByMe recently announced its plans for further growth into Asia after being the only European platform to be issued the first equity crowdfunding license in Asia by the Securities Commission in Malaysia.

FundedByMe has recently also closed a crowd-lending deal (peer-to-business) where €109,000 was raised in 25 days from 63 lenders. 22% of the lenders were from outside of Sweden, again proving that cross-border transactions also will happen in lending cases.

Recently the JOBS Act Title III was announced in the US and the crowdfunding market expects a good growth due to the fact that the US and soon other countries is changing 90-year old laws dictating how a company can fundraise and allowing companies to go out to a bigger pool of "regular" people and ask them to be part of an investment offering.
