O/Modernt startar 2019 "O/Modernt Composition Award", en årligen återkommande kompositionstävling för tonsättare under 40 år. Det vinnande bidraget uruppförs av toppmusiker under O/Modernt Festival i juni och publiceras av Gehrmans Musikförlag. Prissumman är 1000 Euro. In 2019 O/Modernt inaugurates an annual composition award for composers under the age of 40.
