Gigger removes service fees for gig workers due to COVID-19.

As part of the job market ecosystem, Gigger wants to help the people who have temporarily lost their jobs, or been made redundant due to the corona crisis, by providing their service for free.

If the uncertainty of the COVID-19 circumstances develops and some workers may be laid off, especially zero-hour contractors and temps, Gigger would like to contribute to the community by removing all service fees related to the invoices sent from gig workers for their service , and for handling payroll and taxes.

The crippling effect of the ongoing situation is already taking a toll on our community and the responsibilities of daily life are as demanding as ever. Gig work is the perfect solution for those who may need to earn a little extra during this time or make a living through assignments instead of their regular work. The Gigger platform is now offering their service free of charge until the end of May 2020 to all new gig workers who sign up.

Through Gigger, gig workers may be able to work from home or join staff pools for companies that currently need to staff up. Furthermore, they have the option to dictate when they work, and the opportunity to do so with a variety of employers. This is the solution for those who are looking to earn some extra income through assignments as they are free to do so without the hassle of having to set up their own company.

Additionally, the only businesses that are bound to pull through during these circumstances are those ones focused on evolving the way they operate today. Gigger offers the opportunity to generate staff pools, which allows the organization to be as flexible and as needed - taking on as much staff as required at the moment.

- “At this point, we have the opportunity to fully understand the areas where we can improve the way we work today. The current situation is unstable and constantly changing. But people's bonds are still the same. It is our responsibility to help others where we can. The wheels have to keep turning as the livelihood of many families depends on our ability to be as flexible as possible, as employers and employees. ” - Hakan Fritz, CEO - Gigger AB.
