GINA TRICOT X BEYOND RETRO – LAUNCHES NEW VINTAGE COLLABORATION

Gina Tricot continues to raise the bar in the fashion industry by teaming up with the well-established vintage brand Beyond Retro. A limited collection of beautiful second-hand garments will be available for purchase in selected Gina Tricot stores in the Nordic region from 11 June 2020.

In addition to its ongoing sustainability initiatives, such as the WWF’s water stewardship project and Nordic Swan Ecolabel certification of its largest suppliers, Gina Tricot has also launched several successful sustainability concepts in the last year – from the hit “Rent your party outfit”, in which customers can hire garments in stores, to the talked-about Aéryne X Gina Tricot design collaboration offering clothes produced from leftover pieces of fabric.

The retailer now continues its efforts to promote circular fashion by launching its first vintage collection in collaboration with the leader in trendy, sustainable fashion: Beyond Retro. Selected Nordic Gina Tricot stores will be filled with unique, hand-picked products from Beyond Retro, in six garment categories: dresses, blouses, denim, trousers, leather skirts, and kimonos.

“At Gina Tricot, we’re very proud to launch our first collection of vintage clothing together with Beyond Retro, a brand known for its competence and skill in vintage clothing. Like Gina Tricot, Beyond Retro is focused on fashion in order to deliver the latest trends to customers. But most of all, these are beautiful, unique garments, ready to be worn and loved again,” says Emma Garrote, Global Production and Sustainability Manager for Gina Tricot.

“Beyond Retro is incredibly pleased to cooperate with Gina Tricot to ensure that vintage clothing can be enjoyed by as many people as possible. The world of fashion must become more sustainable, and one way to achieve this is to increase re-use of perfectly functional garments that have been discarded. This collaboration is an opportunity for many people to discover just how much fun it is to shop vintage,” says Steven Bethell, founder of Beyond Retro.

Gina Tricot is a firm believer in the second-hand trend. The retailer is eager to show customers the benefits, in order to continue decreasing its climate footprint whilst offering shoppers genuinely sustainable fashion. A second collection is already planned to be in stores this autumn.

Gina Tricot X Beyond Retro will be launched in selected stores in the Nordic region from 11 June 2020.
