Gina Tricot X Designed by Hanna MW: spring sequel

The first collection sold out in just a few hours - now the long-awaited sequel to autumn's successful launch is finally arriving. For SS22 Gina Tricot is launching another denim remake capsule, made from re-sewn jeans and leftover fabric remnants, designed by fashion designer and stylist Hanna MW. A new concept for this season is that the popular relaxed fit jeans now come in even more washes and in an updated, shorter style. To complete the look, tops made of more durable materials have been added. These have been developed by Renewcell using innovative circular technology. The collection will be launched online on April 7 and in selected stores on April 8.

"I am so happy to do a second collection together with Gina Tricot, this has been a real dream project for me. I have had a good gut feeling throughout the process since no new fabrics have been produced for this collection. The denim is the same as in the first collection but comes in new washes, why change a winning concept? New for this collection are the tops that are the perfect base tops but with a twist," says Hanna MW.

As with previous collections, this one has been designed to suit everyone. For the spring selection, circular fashion takes on a trend-proof style, with new tops that have been made from old Gina Tricot jeans. The textile recycling company Renewcell, which the fashion chain has been collaborating with since 2018, has developed a way to extract the raw material Circulose® from worn-out clothes and textiles, using innovative technology and circular processes. This can then be used to create new textile fibres and new garments. With this launch, customers can follow behind the scenes to get a closer insight into this exciting process, as Gina Tricot will visit Renewcell's factory in Kristinehamn.

"It feels fantastic that, yet again, we've produced a denim collection where circular fashion is the core. The fact that we've also added tops in recycled materials from Renewcell is also especially newsworthy. We're so happy to be collaborating with Hanna MW again, as the first collection was extremely successful and has been in demand ever since. Hanna's style is so cool and feminine, with a high level of fashion, that our customers are longing to wear this spring," says Monika Mellin, Design Manager at Gina Tricot.
