Goodbye Kansas wins prestigious VFX Award

The Visual Effects Society announced the winners of the 18th Annual VES Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on January 29th. VES Awards is the prestigious yearly celebration that recognizes outstanding visual effects artistry and innovation in film, animation, television, commercials and video games and the VFX supervisors, VFX producers and hands-on artists who bring this work to life. It’s often referred to as the “Oscars for the VFX Industry”. It was the third time that Goodbye Kansas artists were nominated.

Animation Director Jonas Ekman & Lead Character Artist Jonas Skoog (Goodbye Kansas) and Senior Concept Artist Marek Madej & Principal Character Artist Grzegorz Chojnacki (CD Projekt Red) won the award for “Outstanding Animated Character in a Commercial” for their work on the character Dex in the “Cyberpunk 2077” E3 trailer at the 18th Annual VES Awards gala in Los Angeles on January 29th.
