Android release: Success for new app for free digital concerts with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra

12 May the Gothenburg Symphony introduced a new app for iOS, which allows easy downloads of free live concerts with leading conductors and soloists. This means availability also offline, with better quality than streaming. The app quickly reached the top two position on most downloaded apps on App Store and nearly thousand enthusiasts have downloaded the app since the release. 5 June it will be launched on Google Play for Android devices.

With the app we increase the availability of the concerts and let you download them to your device for free. This means you can enjoy the concerts off line at your convenience, with better quality than streaming. With a good connection it only takes a few minutes to download 30 minutes of excellent pictures and music, taking 0,5 GB of storage on your device. The concerts are available for 30 days from the day they are published and will then automatically disappear from the device. For an optimized sound experience, we recommend the use of a good pair of headphones.

The app is launched on Google Play 5 June. Introduction price 5-8 June: 0,99 USD/EUR. Thereafter and until 19 June the price is 2,99 USD/EUR.
Ordinary price is 6,99 USD/5,99 EUR.
Within the app all concerts are for free.

The website www.gsoplay.com is a success all over the world. Live concerts with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, The National Orchestra of Sweden, are available free of charge, with new concerts added each month. Conductors and artists include present Principal Guest Conductor Kent Nagano, Honorary Conductor Gustavo Dudamel, Barbara Hannigan, David Afkham and many more.
