Laganixx and Felix Bader superb in a final victory dance

As a final achievement, victorious Felix Bader and Laganixx gave it all to enjoy one last time together in Scandinavium. And as they sailed around the course, the only combination to manage a double-clear, they were winners. The mare has now been sold to Ludo Philippaerts in Belgium and is headed for an international sports career.

Lövsta Future Challenge suports Swedish breeding and therefore chooses, together with the Gothenburg Horse Show, to invite the breeders of all qualified SWB-bred horses to watch the final on site. Through the initiative, they hope to motivate breeders to continue contributing to the future of Swedish show jumping. The Swedish combinations that qualify for the final do so via the two competitions Champion of the Youngsters and SWB Equestrian Weeks with the Breeders Trophy. A total of eleven Swedish-owned horses qualify for the final of Lövsta Future Challenge Jumping Young Horses. In today's jump-off, the places were evenly spread from the two tours and the international starters that are invited.

Felix Bader and Laganixx were the only double clears in the entire class and shone from start to finish.

- I have had her since she was four years old and she is such a smart horse. When I get wild, she calms me down and becomes even smarter. I've been waiting for her to show what she can do. Now me and my partner Jesper have sold her to Ludo Philippaerts. This is exactly what we want, the goal is to sell to the best riders.

- But, of course, it feels a bit bitter to let her go now, but I am happy that she will be able to continue competing with the riders in Philippaert's stable. Now I will invest further in getting more horses so that I can come back to the Gothenburg Horse Show again. It is so important to bring the young horses here in Scandinavium, concluded winner Felix Bader.

Second-placed Ellen Brunes with the mare Miami Heat was really happy after her flawless round in the preliminary round and completely satisfied with her jump-off.

- I have poles down in the two qualifying classes and when I walked the course I thought it was big and difficult. Now Miami Heat got to make her debut at this level and she surprised and we got it right in the first round. She's usually very reliable so I'm glad we got to show her quality in the end.

- It's not my horse and I'm not quite sure what the next step is, maybe she will be sold, but until then I'll compete, said a satisfied Ellen Brunes.

Third-placed Asterix de Couleur with seasoned rider Douglas Lindelöw went flawlessly in the preliminary round and then had two rails down in the jump-off.

- I think it was probably a tough course, a bit too tough with that length of course. We have owned Asterix since he was three years old. He has been in Germany and there is no point in raving about adjectives, he is one of the best horses I have had in the stable, said Douglas Lindelöw.

Emelie Broman Tegelberg is responsible for the jumping program within Lövsta Future Challenge and was really satisfied with the outcome in Scandinavium.

- We are very happy that two of the qualified horses top the series, it means that the system is working. The horses are well prepared and come here and perform, I feel proud when I look at the participants who showed up, it's really good to be able to give them this chance, commented Emelie Broman Tegelberg.

Best U25 rider

Andre Brandt and El Classico TT aka "Elvis" have made great success in the international classes with fine results in the senior debut.

- My horse has been absolutely fantastic throughout the weekend, placed in all the starts. "Elvis" may not stay with me, it depends on what my boss and his owner Royne Zetterman say. I would like to have the chance to continue developing with one and the same horse and to have the opportunity to compete at bigger competitions such as the Gothenburg Horse Show in the future, said a happy André Brandt after his debut in the senior tour in Scandinavium.
