Press invitation to final report of the barefoot study
Agria Djurförsäkring is proud to present the results of the research study "Unshoeed sport horses – for sustainability and performance" on training and competing horses without and with shoes. Together with the entire team behind the work, we can finally share the exciting result!
Professor Lars Roepstorff has evaluated and analyzed the extensive material from the tests at Grevlundagården during the spring of 2022. Lars has come several steps closer to the truth about what happens to the horse's movements and power when it wears shoes or is barefoot. Don't miss his new conclusions!
The meeting will be livestreamed free of charge via GHSLive but also filmed to later be published on the Agria Youtube channel for those who do not have the opportunity to come.
Participants are:
• Lars Roepstorff, researcher and professor at the Department of Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences
• Peder Fredricson, one of the world's best jump riders
• Agnes Fabricius, CEO, Agria Pet Insurance
• Staffan Lidbeck, veterinarian at Löberöd's equine clinic
Time: February 24th at 11.30-12.30
Location: Gothenburg Horse Show, the venue Rinkside in Scandinavium, upstairs by the foyer. Keep an eye out for on-site directions!

Gothenburg Horse Show är en av världens ledande inomhustävlingar i ridsport och är ett evenemang som återkommer årligen. Sedan starten våren 1977 har över 3 miljoner hästälskare besökt evenemanget. Tävlingarna arrangeras av Got Event AB på uppdrag av FEI, det internationella ridsportförbundet, samt Svenska Ridsportförbundet. Vi samarbetar även med hästsportmässan EuroHorse i Svenska Mässan.
2023 års tävlingar genomförs 22-26 februari.
