US Stevia Approval

Granular AB is happy to announce great news for all Americans waiting for Stevia sweetened products. Stevia with purity of at least 95% is now officially recognized by FDA as GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) in the USA and Canada.

Granular is looking to satisfy the Stevia shortage within the "Lifestyle of Health and Sustainability" (LOHAS) market, where we find 30% of the Americans today. The GRAS approval means the US market is now open to Granular.
