Greenbyte appoints CFO to accelerate global growth

Specialist provider of renewables asset management software brings in Jenny Rexed to steer the company through period of rapid expansion.

Gothenburg, 2nd December - Greenbyte, a software partner for global renewable energy portfolios, has hired Jenny Rexed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) as the firm looks to capitalize on recent commercial momentum and accelerate its growth in 2021 and beyond.

Greenbyte’s software as a service (SaaS) platform has seen significant expansion in the last 12 months, with an array of fast-growing renewable energy asset owners, operators and investors adopting the system, including Glennmont Partners, Forestalia, and Red Rock Power.

In parallel, Greenbyte’s 100+ global customer base has continued to expand its collective portfolio, with over 35GW of wind and solar now supported on the platform across 40 countries.

As the global renewable energy market continues to scale, demand for more versatile SaaS offerings is expected to remain high. By collecting, harmonizing, and cleaning a single set of reliable data, irrespective of technology, geography, or data source, Greenbyte frees its customers to focus on strategic asset management. The platform has proved the ideal partner for increasingly diversified global renewable energy portfolios.

Against this backdrop, Greenbyte’s board chose to recruit a growth-oriented CFO.

Having led the financial reorganization at Jetshop AB, a fast-growth SaaS e-commerce platform, Jenny brings substantial experience to Greenbyte’s next phase of growth.

Jonas Corné, CEO and Founder of Greenbyte said: “Global renewables owners and operators are realizing both the need and the power of digitalization to drive their business.

“We’ve doubled the capacity of assets on our platform in less than two years. Our growth aligns perfectly with that of our customers. Their continued success is a real motivation for everyone in the business and Jenny’s expertise will be invaluable as we enter the next phase of our plans.”

Jenny Rexed, Chief Financial Officer at Greenbyte said: “It’s an exciting time to join Greenbyte. I enjoy the inherent speed and scalability of the SaaS business model and can see that even though Greenbyte is already a considerable success story, its best days are still ahead of it.

“I look forward to helping the team accelerate its growth and am thrilled by the prospect of supporting the global development of clean energy along the way”.
