Connect2Capital is being re-branded as GoWest to mark the launch of its expansion

Today, the 9^th of February, 2022, Gothenburg and West Sweden’s Nordic venture capital forum will be re-launched under a new brand, GoWest, to mark our ambition to become broader and more international. 

The new GoWest brand signifies our desire to conquer new lands, to accelerate our expansion and broaden our reach to bring together more international investors and entrepreneurs in our growing community. It also signifies our plan to bring more international capital to West Sweden so that all companies can be strengthened and able to achieve new milestones to further more accelerate their businesses internationally.

GoWest builds on West Sweden’s industrial image and reputation for cutting edge research at our universities and hospitals and green urban development and will become an annual ’must go’ event for investors and entrepreneurs.

The GoWest program will be filled with events and content to bring our community together, improve standards through collaboration, accelerated development and growth, whilst also facilitating more international financing and business deals.

This year GoWest, 9 - 11 februari 2022, has attracted hundreds of investors and entrepreneurs from 11 countries who will participate in panel discussions, pitching sessions and over 300 one-to-one online meetings. The investors, who are mainly from Northern Europe and the US, are looking for pre-seed, seed and Series-A investments. The entrepreneurs are from many countries and are also looking for investments at these levels so hopefully some deals can be done. The possibility to meet online is attractive and for investors and entrepreneurs from different time zones to be able to meet this way. It has enabled Investors and entrepreneurs from right across the globe to gather today and work together for three days.

The in-real-life programme on the stage will be filmed and streamed online to all participants, and features panel discussions on "The Rise of Growth Equity", "The Race to Zero", "Cross-border Investments" and "The Art of Pivoting". The days will also host pitch sessions with company presentations and an "Investor Reverse Pitch" where seven new investors from the Nordics and Europe are in the hot seat.
