Sobrera Pharma och Recipharm i samarbete för att ta fram en ny medicinsk behandling för patienter med alkoholberoende

Sobrera Pharma och CDMO-företaget (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation) Recipharm har ingått ett avtal att utveckla och tillverka SO-001, en ny oral behandling av patienter med alkoholberoende.
En fas II-studie pågår för närvarande i syfte att testa den nya behandlingens effekt och säkerhet. Behandlingens verkningsmekanism är baserad på en effekt på halten av dopamin som spelar en avgörande roll i kroppens belöningssystem. Prekliniska och kliniska data ligger till grund för utveckling av en ny unik produkt som kommer att utvecklas av Recipharms Centre of Excellence in Oral Solids, som bidrar med expertis och erfarenhet av att utveckla och tillverka läkemedel.

Sobrera Pharma, and global contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO), Recipharm, have entered into an agreement for the formulation development and manufacturing of SO-001, a new oral treatment for Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD).
A phase II study is already ongoing to test the efficacy and safety of the new therapy, which acts through dopamine, which plays an important role in the reward system. Preclinical and clinical data form the basis for the development of a unique new product to be developed at Recipharm’s Centre of Excellence in Oral Solids, which offers access to first-class expertise and experience in development and manufacturing of drug product.
