Hallands Hamnar and Samskip enter new partnership

In September, Samskip will launch a new container service to Hallands Hamnar in Halmstad. Through this partnership, Halmstad will become part of one of Iceland’s most important cargo flows while further strengthening its position as a growing logistics hub in Sweden.

The vessels Arnarfell and Helgafell will call at Halmstad on a weekly basis as part of Samskip’s Blue weekly rotation between Sweden, Iceland and the rest of Europe. The service is expected to generate approximately 250 containers per week and will handle goods for the Icelandic market such as food products, construction materials and vehicles, as well as fish and seafood from Iceland to the Scandinavian market.
