5 ml Channel for mixing blood, quick, easy and efficient

Hamilton has developed a unique 5ml channel for transfer and quick mixing of large volume samples. It was originally developed as a solution for Biobanks in need of an efficient tool for mixing  whole blood, both fresh and post-frozen, prior aliquotation into storage tubes. The 5ml channel tip is slim and long and designed to fit into primary samples tubes, for example 13x75mm.Today its implemented in several Biobanks and used as a standardized method to mix and aliquot samples, prior down-stream applications.

In addition the 5ml tip is widely used for application where larger volumes should be dispensed and for application where strong mixing is required, for instance protein precipitation. The 5ml channel is also a standard tool in Hamilton’s NA extraction system "Chemagic STAR"

Below you will find more information regarding Chemagic STAR and a video of the 5ml channel
