Ekdahl to focus on customers at Hogia
Hogia is continually investing in the public transport sector and will gain even more industry know how through the recruitment of Linda Ekdahl, former head of the customer strategy department at Västtrafik, Gothenburg’s public transport authority. Linda will be responsible for the largest of Hogia's 27 companies, which has been developing IT systems for public transport since 1988.
Linda Ekdahl has extensive experience working with public transport, and a deep understanding of the industry and its challenges. She first worked at Transdev as a business manager responsible for public transport in the western Västra Götaland region of Sweden. She then moved to Västtrafik where she headed up the customer strategy department with a focus on improving customer satisfaction and communication. During Linda's time there, the analysis business was developed, and important steps were taken towards becoming a customer and data driven organisation.
“I am excited to start working with public transport from a new perspective, though of course, it is all still about creating value for passengers as well as the community. Hogia is currently making long-term investments into new smart cloud services for traffic management, disruption information and the handling of public transport data. My primary objective is to bring this to the attention of our customers and the industry at large, so demonstrate the enormous value which can be brought to passengers by using the type of quality assured data that can be obtained from our systems”, says Linda.
“We have worked for many years and fairly broadly with traffic authorities across the Nordic regions as well as internationally, and have had great success with, among other things, our real-time passenger information systems. Now we aim to achieve an even stronger position as a systems supplier to public transport authorities and operators, both here in Sweden and abroad and we are convinced that Linda is the right person to get us there”, concludes Mats Johansson, head of the Travel Sector for the Hogia Group.
