  • The port of Uddevalla purchases terminal system from Hogia

    The port of Uddevalla has customers in both the Swedish and international paper industries. Every year, 300,000 tonnes of paper and pulp flow through the port. To streamline and simplify inventory management, the port of Uddevalla has now purchased a terminal system from Hogia with an inventory module adapted for the paper industry.

  • The port of Ystad digitalises its operations with the support of Hogia’s system

    The port of Ystad is Sweden’s third-largest port for ferry passengers and the country’s fifth-largest in terms of cargo vehicles. The port handles over two million passengers and 300,000 lorries and trailers annually. Now Hogia is delivering a terminal system that will digitalise the port’s administrative and operational work.

  • Hogia delivers to the Canadian ferry operator CTMA Traversier

    Canadian ferry operator CTMA Traversier have gone live with their new reservation and ticketing system BOOKIT, from Hogia Ferry Systems. CTMA operate several routes: a life-line service between Prince Edward Island and the Îles de la Madeleine, a cruise line from Montreal to Îles de la Madeleine and a freight ferry service serving the islands. They have 3 ferries running the different services.

  • Hogia delivers support for handling large freight flows to the Port of Södertälje

    It will now be easier for ports to handle large volumes of goods. Hogia is launching a mobile application that digitalises manual operations. The first to get up and running with the app is the Port of Södertälje, which will use it for unloading and loading import cars. Every year, one third of Sweden’s new car imports, approximately 120,000 cars, are delivered to the port.

  • Owen Sound Transportation Company awarded the contract to Hogia

    In December 2019, Owen Sound Transportation Company (OSTC), one of Ontario’s largest ferry operators, issued a Request for Proposal for a new passenger and vehicle ferry reservation system. Following an evaluation process, the contract was awarded to Hogia Ferry Systems for delivery of their standard reservation system BOOKIT.

    Irish Ferries have been looking to replace their current passenger and freight reservation systems and have signed an agreement with Hogia Ferry Systems to deliver their standard booking system BOOKIT. Irish Ferries is part of the Irish Continental Group and is currently operating on two routes across the Irish Sea as well as a direct route between Ireland and France.

    Recently the Åland Government addressed the need for passenger information and so signed an agreement with Hogia Public Transport Systems to supply a system that will give their passengers on board buses and ferries greatly improved information about their journeys.

  • Ekdahl to focus on customers at Hogia

    Hogia is continually investing in the public transport sector and will gain even more industry know how through the recruitment of Linda Ekdahl, former head of the customer strategy department at Västtrafik, Gothenburg’s public transport authority. Linda will be responsible for the largest of Hogia's 27 companies, which has been developing IT systems for public transport since 1988.

  • More efficient access control system for the Port of Trelleborg

    As part of striving to become the best RoRo port in Europe, Port of Trelleborg is investing in digitalisation and new IT solutions. In project collaboration with Hogia, the port has introduced a fully automatic gating solution for the port’s existing gate-in. This enables a constant flow of vehicles into the port and avoiding congestion build-up, which has a positive impact on the environment.

Portsmouth International Port har tildelt Hogia kontrakt for leveranse av et terminalstyringssystem som skal digitalisere styringen av varetransport gjennom terminalen og dermed øke terminalens effektivitet.

    Portsmouth International Port is the second-largest cross-channel port in the UK and offers more ferry routes than any other UK ferry port. The Port awarded to Hogia the contract to supply a terminal operating system to digitalise the management of freight transport through the terminal thereby increasing the terminal’s efficiency.

    For the third year in a row, Swedish IT company Hogia has had a record year: Sales increased from SEK 565 million to SEK 605 million. For the 10th consecutive year employees numbers increased by 25 people bringing the company total to 675. Net profit rose from 34 to SEK 36 million, which is a profit margin of 6%, says Bert-Inge Hogsved, Hogia's founder and CEO.

  • This year's Christmas present to nature

    The latest report from the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change - the target of keeping global warming to a maximum of 2 degrees Celsius is about to become unachievable. Instead, we are heading towards a temperature increase of 3 degrees. Things are starting to get urgent. This year Hogia is donating to the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SSNC) for its work on climate change.
