Outbreak of Covid-19 increases the demand for Swedish innovation in hand hygiene

After WHO announced that the most effective way to stop the spread of Corona Virus is to increase hand hygiene, the demand for Hygiene of Sweden's antibacterial formula has increased avalanche.

​Hygiene of Sweden has delivered over 100,000 products to China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia in just the past week. Both in foam format and hand spray.

An agreement has been made with a pharmacy supplier in Wuhan to deliver products.

Clinical studies show efficacy against both bacteria, non-enveloped viruses and so-called enveloped viruses (the same virus type as Covid-19).

The formulation is aqueous and contains a unique cationic charged biopolymer, lactic acid, vitamin B5, Aloe Vera and a minimal amount of an active ingredient.

One of the benefits of the formulation for the user is that they do not dry out the skin and instead maintain their natural immune system - the skin.

The advantage for the environment is that you do not need to produce ethanol in a CO2 intensive process, but instead the product is water-based.

The formulation is adapted for hands but is also effective for example. mobile phones and keyboards when delivered in a spray format and are anti static.

According to the mobile phone operators, alcohol can not be used on the screens because it dissolves the touch screen.

The public is now asked to clean their mobile phone at least twice a day to avoid the spread of the Corona virus that can live up to a week on a surface - for example, on the screen of a mobile phone.

Other places where alcohol-based products are directly unsuitable are schools, preschools, prisons, psych departments and cruise ships. In these environments, the product can be abused, used incorrectly or even pose a fire hazard.
