Italian Cultural Institute C.M. Lerici: 80 years of Italian culture in Sweden
During 1940s, Europe was torn apart by the violence of Second World War, and Italy was allied of Nazi Germany.
At the same time, Josif Brodski was born. He was a free poetic voice, victim of Soviet censorship, and future Nobel Prize winner in literature. In 1940, two American researchers,
"La Lanterna di Ponti" ("Pontis lykta") är en ny platsspecifik installation realiserat av italienska kulturinstitutet C.M. Lerici och som avses att bli permanent. Ljusinstallationen kompletterar Gio Pontis arkitektoniska juvel i Diplomatstaden i Stockholm och ger liv till en länk till byggnadens ursprungliga arkitektur från 50-talet fylld av historia och kärlek för ljuset.

Marcus Aurelius är italienska kulturinstitutets nya projekts huvudperson. Han var kejsare och filosof som mellan 170 och 180 e.Kr. komponerade "Marcus Aurelius. Självbetraktelser" på koinè-grekiska. Verket är även känd som "Ricordi" o "Meditazioni" och består av 12 böcker som samlar författarens tankar och reflektioner under hans sista 12 år vid liv. Fem dikter, på italienska och svenska kommer att visas som affischer på tvåtusen av reklamplatserna i den svenska huvudstadens kollektivtrafik.
