Laattapiste takes customer satisfaction to the next level with inRiver PIM

Laattapiste, a leading specialist of bathroom solutions in Finland, has selected inRiver PIM (Product Information Management) for user-friendly and efficient handling of product information to provide better service to customers in all channels.
Facing the challenge of time-to-market, customers not being satisfied with the provided product information, sales staff not being able to find the correct data due to information being scattered through various sources, and the search function in the web shop not displaying good results, Laattapiste decided to take control of the situation and implement a PIM system.
“Our ERP is a rigid system that is good for finances and sales, but it contains no rich product information that is useful for our channels. Having more than 10.000 active SKUs, and wanting to use our product information for more purposes than just CMS/eCommerce, a lightweight PIM in a CMS was not an option. A proper PIM system was the only option we ever considered, and the solution had to have a good roadmap, regular updates and further developments, and come from a reliable supplier with a good partner network. I had worked with inRiver’s solution before and knew what it was capable of, so we decided inRiver was the advanced solution we were looking for. inRiver sees business the same way as we do, and has a good understanding of our challenges” says Joonas Tammisto, Digital Manager, Laattapiste.

After Laattapiste has gone live with inRiver PIM in a few months, the company will immediately start expanding the use of the centralized product information to get the showrooms and the whole company to benefit from all the rich information in the PIM system. Upcoming projects include supporting POS with product material, “productifying” the services for bathroom renovations, produce brochures, setting up a Web-to-Print solution, and adding more languages.
