Jokkmokks klimatåtgärdsplan håller måttet i EU - godkänd efter analys

Den 23 mars 2012 kom grattismejlet till Jokkmokks kommun, från europeiska Covenant of Mayors team.  Efter noggrann översyn av innehållet i den energi- och miljöplan som lämnats in i slutet av år 2010 är klimatåtgärdsplanen fullt godkänd efter analys.

 Miljöstrategerna Silva Herrmann och Wolfgang Mehl får därmed Jokkmokk att ta steget vidare mot ett kretsloppssamhälle till år 2020. Saken är klar: Jokkmokk ska bli en mötesplats, välkänd för energi- och miljö.

Energi- och klimatplanen är ett utvecklingsverktyg för att spara energi och miljö vilket är ett arbete som redan pågår på bred front, exempelvis via EPC-projektet och Nenet, northern network on climate change. Ett åtagande som Jokkmokks kommun valt är EU:s krav om att minska koldioxidutsläppet med 20 procent till år 2020.
