Köttinspektionen Dans möter sin publik fem söndagar under året med programserien Sunday Circles. Programmet är tudelat; dels består det av “koreograferade läsecirklar”, ledda av inbjudna koreografer. Genom koreografernas praktik och blick får vi möjlighet att erfara läsning genom just deras metoder och perspektiv. Dels presenteras varje gång ett dansgästspel med konstnärskap som på olika sätt närmar sig vår samtid med en kritisk blick och som ofta tar till leken och det lekfulla som verktyg för att formulera existentiella och politiska frågeställningar.

Koreograferad läsecirkel

En koreograferad läsecirkel är ett undersökande av hur metoder för dans kan möta metoder för läsning i grupp.
Vi föreslår att läsa tillsammans kan vara att dansa tillsammans, och hur vi dansar struktureras av en koreograf för varje tillfälle. Koreografen väljer text, metoder och format för experimentet efter sina egna konstnärliga intressen. Att delta i en koreograferad läsecirkel innebär att samtidigt fråga sig vad en sådan händelse är och kan vara. Vi deltar alla med vår nyfikenhet, våra kroppar, våra öron, vår röst, vår blick och våra tankar. Alla som vill är välkomna att delta, inga förberedelser krävs. Det är alltid möjligt att delta som åskådare/lyssnare/vittne eller som läsare/dansare.

SANDRA LOLAX (FI/SE) arbetar med koreografi och rörelsepraktiker, ensam och med andra, sedan 2007. Hennes konstnärliga arbete rör sig runt kroppsliga ämnen, med ett intresse för att expandera sin förståelse för vad en kropp kan göra, och vad en “bra”/frisk kropp är. Hennes solon And I’m ready for action (2011) och Action (2013) är exempel på dessa intressen. Under 2016 medverkar Sandra i verket The Internet av Mårten Spångberg och är medlem i Weld company 2016. Hon samarbetar också med Stina Nyberg and Rosalind Goldberg i projektet Bodybuilding. Sandra arbetar/ arbetade tidigare som dansare med koreografer som Maya M. Carroll (nee Lipsker) Rebecka Stillman, Litó Walkey, Anne-Mareike Hess, Deborah Hay och Miriam Horwitz.

ROSALIND GOLDBERG
“Jump with me!“

I Jump with me! möter du tre personer som enbart existerar genom hoppet. Deras manér och kroppar är formade av hoppet. De tänker när de hoppar. De pratar genom hoppet. Deras sånger sjungs när de hoppar. Känslorna hoppar. I kort, hoppet är deras livlina.

Hoppet är en enkel rörelse i sin elementära form. Det är en rörelse alla kan relatera till och många har en relation till: alla kan inte hoppa men alla vet vad ett hopp är. Med hoppet försöker vi distansera relationer från deras vanemässiga representation – att bokstavligen hoppa ur dess gängse göranden och låtanden. Med en uppsättning av rytmiska strukturer och imaginära angivelser har en praktik formats som ligger till grund för de tre personernas relationer.

Jump with me! utgår från enkelheten och aktiviteten i hoppet för att presentera de tre personerna tillsammans.

ROSALIND GOLDBERG (SE/NO/DE) är utbildad vid Balettakademien i Stockholm och vid Master programmet i koreografi vid HZT Inter -University Center for Dance Berlin. Hon är född i Norge, uppvuxen i Sverige och baserad i Berlin och Stockholm. Goldberg arbetar som koreograf och dansare i egna projekt och i samarbete med andra. Hon har arbetat med Ingri Fiksdal, Anne-Mareike Hess, Deufert&Plischke m.fl. Sedan 2008 samarbetar hon med Stina Nyberg och Sandra Lolax. Rosalind Goldbergs egna koreografiska arbeten tar sin utgångspunkt i praktik som metod för att arbeta med förhållningssätt och förståelse av kropp. Hennes senaste arbete MIT har visats vid ett flertal festivaler och scener runt om i Europa, bland annat vid Impulstanz festivalen i Wien, under öppningen av den 56eVenedig Biennalen vid side-track eventet PPP-72h. Arbetet var nominerat till priset Prix Jardin d’ Europe. Rosalind arbetar även med organisationen BLINK där hon kuraterar workshops och föreläsningar.

ANNE-MAREIKE HESS (DE/LU) är dansare och koreograf. Som frilansande dansare och performer har Anne-Mareike Hess arbetat med William Forsythe (Human Writes), Ingri Fiksdal (cosmic body), Rosalind Goldberg (MIT and Jump with me), Miriam Horwitz (Nijinsky) med flera. Hon har arbetat som assistent till ett antal koreografer och som dramaturg för koreografen Marina Tenorio. Anne-Mareikes koreografier har visats på ett flertal festivaler i Europa och Canada. 2012 fick Anne-Mareike Hess Prize for emerging artists av “Stiftung zur Förderung junger Talente”, Luxembourg. 2015 Belönades Anne-Mareike med “Danzprais” från Ministry of Culture [Lu]. Anne-Mareike Hess och regissören Miriam Horwitz utgör konstnärsduon‘Horwitz & Hess’. Deras senaste produktion Palais idéal erhöll 2015 Stuttgarts dans och teaterpris (DE).

TOVE SALMGREN (SE) arbetar med dans, koreografi och performance, som initiativtagare och medarbetare i diverse kontexter och format. Inom fältet är hon verksam som dansare, koreograf, curator och pedagog och hon har en MA i New Performative Practices från DOCH, Stockholm. Hennes arbete handlar om att aktivera en kritisk diskurs rörande subjektivitet och makt, och ofta genom att hegemoniska strukturer inom själva fältet dans och koreografi adresseras och problematiseras. Hon är involverad i diverse konstnärliga samarbeten, som med The Blob där lek/instutition/kritik kopplas samman, i det kuratoriella samarbetet We happen things med konstnärerna Manon Santkin och Moa Franzén, och som en av två konstnärliga ledare för Köttinspektionen Dans, en mötesplats och scen för experimentiell dans och koreografi i Uppsala.

SALKA ARDAL ROSENGREN (SE) är performer och koreograf baserad mellan Bryssel och Stockholm. Hon började dansa balett i tidig ålder och fortsatte sedan sina studier vid P.A.R.T.S. i Bryssel där hon genomgått Training and Research cycle och utexaminerades 2010. 2009 beviljades hon DanceWeb stipendium. Salka har hållit workshops i STEG (Sverige), Centre Culturel Français de Kinshasa (Kongo) och Yuan Shu, Chengdu (Kina). Hon har producerat och turnerat med verk i samarbete med Mikko Hyvönen och Nicholas Hoffman. Hon arbetar för närvarande med en ny produktion tillsammans med Bryana Fritz. Hon har arbetat med Eszter Salamon, Sarah Vanhee, Malin Elgán, Xavier Le Roy, Daniel Linehan, Tino Sehgal, Gunilla Heilborn, MDT, Liz Kinoshita, Salva Sanchis, Yuan Shu – Chengdu,Thibault Lac.

DANIEL GLATZEL (DE) växte upp i München,Tyskland och Seoul, Sydkorea. Sedan 2004 bor och arbetar han i Berlin. Daniel Glatzel studerade vid HFM Hanns Eisler med lärare i klassisk komposition (Wolfgang Heiniger) och Jazz (John Hollenbeck). År 2006 grundade han “Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra” (AMEO), en unik 18-bit-ensemble som är hans huvudprojekt fram till idag. Förutom att spela ett flertal instrument i gruppen, är Glatzel ansvarig för kompositioner, arrangemang, produktion och organisation. AMEO har släppt tre album hittills som har hyllats av Die Zeit, SZ, FAZ, NZZ, SPIEGEL, etc. Deras fjärde album “Vula” kommer att släppas 2016 då orkestern firar 10-årsjubileum. AMEO turnerar regelbundet på scener som Berlins Filharmoniker, Roskildefestivalen, Zürcher Festspiele, Jazzfest Berlin, JazzBaltica, Kampnagel Hamburg, Paradiso Amsterdam, Union Chapel London och har även framträtt i Sydkorea, Kazakstan och Sydamerika på inbjudan av Goethe Institutet.

SANDRA BLATTERER (DE) är född i Wien och i dag baserad i Berlin där hon arbetar som en ljusdesigner inom dans och performance. Hon har nyligen samarbetat med Begum Ericas, Hermann Heisig, Shannon Cooney, Anke Eckardt, Siegmar Zacharias (SXS Enterprise), Sergiu Matis, Jana Unmüßig, Laurie Young, Eve Sussman / Jim White / Claudia de Serpa Soares (MUT)

Köttinspektionen Dans presents Sunday Circles, a series of five sundays over the year. There are two parts to the programme. It starts with "choreographed reading circles", two hour sessions led by invited choreographers. We get to experience reading through the specific practice, methods and perspective of the invited choreographer. In addition, each Sunday Circle presents a choreographic work, with invited dance artists that use a critical gaze on our contemporary conditions and often use play and playfullness as a tool to raise existential and political questions.

SANDRA LOLAX
Choreographed reading circle
14.00–16.00

We propose that reading together can be to dance together, and how we dance is structured by a choreographer every session. The choreographers choose text, methods and format for the experiment according to their own artistic interests. Taking part in a choreographed reading circle involves asking yourself what an event like this is and can be. We all participate with our curiosity, our eyes, our bodies, our voices and our thoughts. Everybody who wants to join is welcome, no preparation is needed. It is always possible to participate as a spectator/listener/witness or as reader/dancer. The circles are held in Swedish or English. Participants are welcome to use the language they are most comfortable with. We help to translate when needed.

SANDRA LOLAX (FI/SE) works with choreography and movement practices, alone and with others, since 2007. Her artistic workings revolve around bodily matters, with an interest of expanding her understanding of what a body could do, and what a ”good”/healthy body is. The solos And I’m ready for action (2011) and Action (2013) are examples of those interests. During 2016 Sandra performs the work The Internet by Mårten Spångberg as well as being a member of Weld company 2016. She also collaborates with Stina Nyberg and Rosalind Goldberg on the project Bodybuilding. Sandra works/previously worked as a dancer with choreographers such as Maya M. Carroll (nee Lipsker) Rebecka Stillman, Litó Walkey, Anne-Mareike Hess, Deborah Hay and Miriam Horwitz.

ROSALIND GOLDBERG
“Jump with me!”

Jump with me! is about three characters that only exists through the jump. Their bodies and manners are sculpted by the jump. Their songs are sung through jumping. In short –the jump is their lifeline.
The jump is a simple movement in its elementary form. It is a movement everyone can relate to and most of us have a relation to; not everyone can jump but everyone knows what a jump is.
Jump with me! started from this simplicity of the nature of the jump. With a set of regulations on rhythm and imagination a practice was built which formed the ground from where proximity, negotiation and loneliness appeared.

With Jump with me! the attempt is to distance relations from their habitual representation, to extract relations from their usual actions and doings. It is an aspiration to use the simplicity and activity of the jump in order to see how the relations can be built and come to expression.

ROSALIND GOLDBERG (SE/NO/DE)
 graduated from the MA in choreography at HZT – Inter –University Center for Dance Berlin October 2014. She is born in Norway, raised in Sweden and based in Berlin and in Stockholm where she is working within several collaborations as well as alone. She is interested in the notion of practice as a way to construct different logic systems through which bodies could function. Her latest work MIT was presented at Weld 2013. MIT has thereafter been shown at the festival Impulstanz in Vienna, during the opening of the 56th Venice Biennale within the side-track event PPP-72H and around in Europe at different venues. The piece was nominated to the price Prix Jardin d’ Europe. Rosalind has worked with, among others, Ingri Fiksdal, Anne-Mareike Hess, Deufert&Plischke and Mårten Spångberg. She is a co-founder of the organization BLINK where she curates workshops and lecture series.

ANNE-MAREIKE HESS (DE/LU)
dancer and choreographer. As a performer she has been working a.o. with William Forsythe (Human Writes), Ingri Fiksdal (cosmic body), Rosalind Goldberg (MIT and Jump with me!) and Miriam Horwitz (Nijinsky). Anne-Mareike‘s own choreographies have been performed at different festivals in Europe and Canada. 2012 Anne-Mareike was awarded with Prize for emerging artists by the “Stiftung zur Förderung junger Talente”, Luxembourg. 2015 Anne-Mareike was awarded with the “Danzprais” from the Ministry of Culture [Lux]. Anne-Mareike is part of the artist duo Horwitz & Hess.Their piece Palais idéal received in 2015 the dance and theatre prize from the city of Stuttgart (DE).

TOVE SALMGREN (SE) works with performance, dance and choreography, as an initiator and collaborator in various artistic contexts and formats. She is active as a dancer, choreographer, curator and educator and has an MA in New Performative Practices from DOCH, Stockholm. Her artistic practice is about activating a critical discourse on subjectivity and power, which often happen through a laboratory mode of adressing hegemonic structures within the field of dance and choreography itself. She is involved in various artistic collaborations such as with The Blob (Anna Efraimsson), where play/institution/critique are being coupled, in the curatorial collaboration We happen things with the artists Manon Santkin and Moa Franzén and together with the artist Kajsa Wadhia she is runnning Köttinspektionen Dans, a platform and venue for experimental dance and choreography in Uppsala, Sweden.

SALKA ARDAL ROSENGREN (SE) is a performer and choreographer based between Brussels and Stockholm. She started dancing ballet at an early age and later continued her studies at P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels where she completed the Training and the Research cycle and graduated in 2010. 2009 she was granted to DanceWeb scholarship. Salka has taught workshops at STEG (Sweden), Centre Culturel Français de Kinshasa (Congo) and at Yuan Shu, Chengdu (China). She has produced and toured works in collaboration with Mikko Hyvönen, and Nicholas Hoffman She is currently working on a new production with Bryana Fritz, (on) a figure of intimate, social and desiring subjects in processes of dance making. She has worked with Eszter Salamon, Sarah Vanhee, Malin Elgán, Xavier Le Roy, Daniel Linehan, Tino Sehgal, Gunilla Heilborn, MDT, Liz Kinoshita, Salva Sanchis, Yuan Shu – Chengdu, Thibault Lac.

DANIEL GLATZEL (DE)
grew up in Munich, Germany and Seoul, South Korea. Since 2004 is he living and working in Berlin. He studied at the HfM Hanns Eisler with teachers of Classical Composition (Wolfgang Heiniger) and Jazz (John Hollenbeck). In 2006 he founded the “Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra” (AMEO), an unusual 18-piece-ensemble which is his main project up today. Besides playing several instruments in the group, Glatzel is responsible for the compositions, arrangements, production and organization. AMEO has released three albums so far which have been hailed by Die ZEIT, SZ, FAZ, NZZ, SPIEGEL, etc. Their fourth album “Vula” will be released in 2016 celebrating the orchestra’s 10th anniversary. AMEO tours regularly, appearing on stages like the Berlin Philharmonic, Roskilde Festival, Züricher Festspiele, Jazzfest Berlin, JazzBaltica, Kampnagel Hamburg, Paradiso Amsterdam, Union Chapel London, etc. aswell as in South Korea, Kazachstan and South America by invitation of the Goethe Institute.

SANDRA BLATTERER (DE)
is born in Vienna and based in Berlin where she work as a light designer for dance and performance. Lately she collaborated with Begüm Ericyas, Hermann Heisig, Shannon Cooney, Anke Eckhardt, Siegmar Zacharias (SXS Enterprise), Sergiu Matis, Jana Unmüßig, Laurie Young, Eve Sussman/Jim White/Claudia de Serpa Soares (MUT)

ANNA UDDENBERG’S (SE) artwork approaches social structures within consumerist culture as they relate to the performative values of gender, class and sexuality. Beyond fetishizing goods and information, her sculpture and installations embody the overlapping, reinforcing narratives of social media, online gaming/dating and reality television.
