Welcome to the Italian Institute of Culture in Stockholm where Vasco Forconi, student at CuratorLab at Konstfack, will curate a series of exhibitions entitled Shoegaze. The project is divided in four chapters running throughout 2019 and will show Sweden and Italy-based artists interact with the building designed by iconic architecht Gio Ponti.
What can interior architects bring to the table, and how can the profession take social responsibility during the ongoing refugee crisis? Will the wellbeing of newly arrived migrants increase if they can participate in improving their every-day environment? Masters student Else Abrahamsen asked herself these questions and her answers led to activities that help promote integration.
