Lanetalk Announce First-Ever Global Tournament together with Industry leader’s PBA and Bowlero

Last year’s successful Swedish event, the Lanetalk Rumble, engaged 1400 bowlers in Sweden in a virtual competition, which made it the biggest bowling competition held in Europe. Lanetalk is now excited to present the first-ever global tournament together with the industry leaders PBA and Bowlero, beginning March 1 across 20 countries with a $50K total prize fund.

The PBA Bowlero Global Rumble powered by Lanetalk is a virtual bowling tournament open to both amateur and professional bowlers across the world. Bowlers will use the Lanetalk App and virtually face-off against competitors at 250 international centers for a chance to win a first-place prize of $10K.

“The PBA and Bowlero are dedicated to growing the sport of bowling at all levels,” said Lev Ekster, Chief Strategy Officer and COO of the PBA. “As bowling centers reopen worldwide, the PBA Bowlero Global Rumble powered by Lanetalk is a unique opportunity to get tens of thousands of bowlers back into their local centers safely, while connecting them with competitors around the world virtually. We’re excited to see who will participate in this augural event and win the $10K Grand Prize.”

Corona friendly, eSport inspired tournament
The tournament will feature four stages of competition within six conferences in the United States and internationally until one champion is crowned for a true global Rumble competition.

Inspired by the gamification in the eSport industry, the tournament is played in the local center, using the Lanetalk app. The bowler visits their home center when they want to bowl, which makes it possible to compete with worldwide competitors without the need of long-distance traveling.

Thousands of bowlers, and the first virtual champion to crown
Estimated to become the biggest bowling competition ever held, we hope to see more than 15 000 bowlers participate in 250 centers around the world. Starting next week, the competition begins and progresses throughout the four stages and is ending up in a live streamed Grande Finale with 12 participants in centers around the world. With a $50K total prize fund, the champion will walk away with the $10K Grand Prize.
