Jackson Dean utforskar kärlek och längtan på sitt tredje studioalbum Magnolia Sage

Vocal powerhouse and PLATINUM-selling singer/songwriter Jackson Dean unveils his third studio album, Magnolia Sage, out today via Blue Highway Records. An eclectic collection of songs that move from sweeping to soothing, rocking to ruminative, the 11-track project creates a sound that is singularly Jackson Dean: alive, vital, frisky, sexy and rugged. Listen to Magnolia Sage HERE.

“As an artist, you’re supposed to be writing and singing about what you’re living, and that’s exactly what I did with this record. Between my woman, my cabin, my dog and the coolest job on the planet, I have everything that I’ve ever dreamed of in the palm of my hand,” shares Dean. “At its core, this is a record for the muses and the ones that you love, and I hope listeners are able to see their own lives in it.”

The story of Magnolia Sage is told through two distinct, rich narrative lenses, with each of the tracks fitting into one of the two worlds: Magnolia or Sage. Magnolia evokes vivid scenes of the Southeast and East Coast, sonically defined by heavy bass that booms and R&B influence that romances, while the stories and sounds of Sage transport listeners to the inherent restlessness and vast landscapes of the West. From the sweltering Magnolia moments of “5th Of July,” “Tennessee Moon” and “Hey Mississippi,” to the restless pull of Sage on “Wildfire,” “Blacktop Blues” and “Heart On The Range,” Dean delivers a cinematic record that feels both deeply personal and universal. There’s a slow-burning sexiness throughout, with steel guitars rolling through more restrained tracks, B3 organ rising like steam and vocals that drive the songs rather than simply ride them. Whether magnolia or sage, east or west, soft or bold, the thread that holds the tapestry of Dean’s vision together is the steady influence of his longtime muse.

The official music video for “Tennessee Moon” – a brand-new track off the record – is out now. The Robby Stevens-directed music video brings the longing, hypnotic track that Dean wrote alongside GRAMMY Award-nominated songwriters Luke Dick and Jessie Jo Dillon to life. The video finds Dean and his muse apart and passionately pining for each other, finding peace in the fact that they’re looking up at the same moon, though miles apart, and waiting for the day they’re reunited.
