Fall 2023 Malmö Konsthall shows Frutti di Mare, a comprehensive presentation of the internationally recognized Swedish artist Ingela Ihrman. She has participated in the Venice Biennale and was recently seen in an extensive exhibition at Gasworks in London. We will encounter a differently designed exhibition with film and performances: a giant otter giving birth, a blooming water lily, and a fig.

This fall, Malmö Konsthall opens one of its largest group exhibitions in later years, featuring Malmö-based artists and the city's dynamic art scene. The exhibition In the City Grows a Field contains works by 50 artists from different generations and highlights the tenacity and integrity of art, and the network of alternative and artist-run exhibition spaces. Sommarens utställningar på Malmö Konsthall med William Scott och Sandra Mujinga utforskar i sina respektive konstnärskap alternativa världar, Scott genom sitt detaljrika måleriska arbete och Mujinga i sina digitala processer som ingår i ett mångfacetterat arbete med skulptur, installation, performance och elektronisk musik – ofta sammanfattat i ett enda verk.
Imagine a beach – you within it, or better: watching from above – the burning sun, sunscreen, bright bathing suits, sweaty palms and legs. Tired limbs sprawled lazily across a mosaic of towels. Under an artificial sun, the performance Sun & Sea lightly addresses urgent issues of sustainability and ecology, of tired bodies and a tired planet.
