Today Melisha releases the July song "Lost My Forgiveness" in the project #onesongamonth - 12 songs are now released in one year!
Today, the 12th song in Melisha's project #onesongamonth was released, which means that the project celebrates one year. One song a month has been released on her own label, recorded, produced and final mixed by herself. She has also played all the instruments, guitar, drums, piano and more. The song "Lost my forgiveness" is about the importance to not always forgive all the time, especially if you are in a toxic relationship.
- "We often talk about the importance of forgiveness, but I've learned that the opposite can be the key to getting out of manipulative and toxic relationships. It's about not letting people use your kindness against you over and over again." says Melisha.
The inspiration for the music video is from 70s aesthetics and the background film is filmed by Melisha's son Leonardo in Aurdal Norway on an abandoned train. The rest of the video is filmed by Melisha herself, who makes her videos using green screen.
- "Because I work on this project continuously, I am limited to use the resources I already have, but the limitations have given me a means of expression that still allows my ideas to emerge. I am so grateful that I dared to do this project, which is quite scary and now it's already been a whole year, when I released a song every month"
The project is not over yet, on the last Friday of every month there will be a new song.

ABOUT MELISHA
Melisha is a Swedish / Norwegian DIY producer / artist from Gothenburg with a studio in Brewhouse since the last 10 years but has had the studio for a total of 22 years. She has a Bachelor degree within music production from Dalarnas University, she attended a master's programme in audiovisual design (where a master's thesis is impatiently waiting to be completed.)
Produced for other artists but is now releasing her own music on her independent label.
Each song has its own atmosphere and soundscape and the creation of this is a big part of her creativity.
She has been a teacher within production at the University of Gothenburg, HSM, since 2017.
She co founded the non profit organization EQLovesMusic and has been the project manager for EQLovesFestival, which featured many famous female world names in music production, including Sylvia Massy, Linn FIjal, Leila Arab, Ebony Bones, Erin Tonkon, Gloria Kaba, Heba Kadry, Ana Diaz and many more.
Melisha is now also one of the Swedish representatives in a collaborative project for gender equality in music production that has been announced by Canada's National Arts Center, Ottawa. The project is a collaboration between Sweden, Canada, South Africa, Argentina and Estonia. The participants have more than 10 years of experience and the genres have emphasis on pop, electro, rock singer-songwriter / world. Go to link HERE
In the summer of 2021, Melisha started the project #onesongamonth, which means that she releases one song a month with an accompanying music video, more precisely the last Friday of each month. How long will she be able to do this ?
