Global business training - new Swedish export
Outsmart changes its name to Minerva CLP and expand operations
Scandinavia's largest specialized e-learning company Outsmart is from today Minerva Corporate Learning Partner, Minerva CLP, and gets a significantly expanded educational offering. The company will now carry a strong international business expansion.
Since the Swedish-American businessman and business developer Hans Amell acquired Outsmart from VTT AB (owned by Volvo AB) and Sigma AB in the fall of 2010, the company has become part of an international network of educational resources. Through acquisitions and partnerships, the new company, Minerva CLP, can offer its customers access to 15 000 leading experts, lecturers and trainers worldwide. With new training methods, such as Minerva Mobile Learning, and off-the-shelves cross-industry and industry-specific compliance courses (among many others) for export markets. In addition, Minerva CLP offers the opportunity to handle company’s whole internal education and training departments in order to ease the burden and offer employees a qualified, consistent training.
– Training and skills are the key instrument of competition in today's globalized world, where solutions and qualified service commitments are bundled with the products exported. Three important trends coincide: shorter product life cycles for products and services, more complex deals, and an ever increasing competition. This sets extremely high standards for corporate training departments. Minerva can, as a pure player and thus specialized supplier of enterprise education, offer a decisive advantage. I have started and developed this type of training in the U.S. and I see a huge potential for Minerva CLP, with Sweden as a base, to expand internationally, says Hans Amell, Chairman Minerva CLP.
Since it was founded in the year 2000, Outsmart has established itself as the leading full-service company in business education in Scandinavia. With over 1.2 million annual training programs delivered to customers such as SKF, IKEA, Husqvarna, Ericsson, Volvo, SEB and Maersk and others. Through a combination of classroom training and via the web, so-called mixed education, international groups can have their staff educated quickly, flexibly and with quality assurance. The training programs have been translated into 25 languages. The new company Minerva CLP adds new training methods and resources that cover the whole range that internationally active companies needs. Everyone, from customer services to corporate management, can be supplied with standardized, as well as tailor made courses that provide proven business results.
– With the new company, we offer new and existing customers even better services. With the help of our new, unique outsourcing method, CORE ™, we can take over and handle the necessary education and training of our clients' employees. With up to date, pedagogically designed and effective training we can offer far better results at a dramatically reduced cost. The different training methods and packages we offer are proven successful in Scandinavia as well as in North America. We have helped many global enterprises to streamline the development of their staff to higher levels of proficiency, says Peter Been founder of Outsmart and COO of Minerva CLP.
