Visionary by Miss Mary is our new collection of more exclusive undergarments – perfect for all occasions when you want to feel extra stylish. Prior to the first collection, we invited the Swedish fashion designer and couturier Lars Wallin to an exclusive design collaboration.
“When Miss Mary contacted me, I thought this collaboration would be fantastic with my design and their fit. They have the perfect fit and know what their customers want, so it felt very comfortable and at the same time new and exciting. It is really Miss Mary with a touch of my world,” says Lars Wallin.
It was not by chance that we asked Lars Wallin. He was an obvious choice for us from the beginning. With Visionary we wanted to create a collection that breathes luxury and glamour, and who better to personify this than Lars Wallin. During a career that has spanned almost 30 years, his fantastic creations have emphasised the most beautiful features of women. We have seen his couture creations worn by performers and royalty at galas and on the red carpet, in TV contexts and on the big stages.
Lars Wallin possesses a design language that feels unique, and he has a fantastic eye for detail. There is a clear ‘Wallin’ feel in everything he designs, whether it is couture, wedding dresses, jewellery, shoes or ready-to-wear collections. Lars describes his style as feminine, timeless and with attitude.
“You feel the body in my garments. I work with the lines and the cut around the body. I try to emphasise and honour the woman in my design but never so as to turn her into an object. I like to play with mixing materials and work with layered effects to produce this 3D effect. Even the hidden becomes part of the design,” says Lars Wallin.
The result of Lars Wallin + Miss Mary’s collaboration is a collection with sheer layered cup drapings, gorgeous fillet embroidery and the finest guipure lace. These are undergarments that dare to stand out and take their place but at the same time are easy to wear because they are not only exquisite to look at but also fit perfectly. About Lars Wallin
Lars is perhaps the most well-known fashion and couture designer in Sweden. Throughout a career that so far has spanned over 30 years, he has created designs for the Swedish royal family and many celebrities, red carpet dresses seen at the Academy Awards and Nobel Prize Award Ceremony, stage outfits for national theatre productions and musicals, Eurovision and numerous other TV shows.
