MTEK Industry and ABB Robotics strengthen their partnership around the digital transformation in small parts assembly

The Swedish innovator in real-time intelligent and collaborative production, MTEK Industry AB, has signed an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) agreement with ABB AB Robotics, enabling even deeper collaboration between the two companies. MTEK will further explore the advantages of the YuMi robot from ABB in their MTEK 4ZERO Solution by continuing to enrich YuMi with own developed SW components.

MTEK Industry develop and deploy SW and HW solutions for real-time intelligent and collaborative production, with a special focus on adaptive automation in small parts assembly. The MTEK 4ZERO Solution brings together state of the art components from MTEK and partners into one scalable, robust and flexible solution for a specific assembly line. 4ZERO is leveraging MTEK’s extensive applied experience in production engineering and logistics and a key component of 4ZERO is the collaborative YuMi robot from ABB. 4ZERO provides complete cells including full traceability, access control and material handling all based on a proven methodology to analyse feasibility, resource requirements and expected effects.
