.EU opens for more countries

The top-level domain .EU, managed by the registry Eurid, is now open to applications from EEA (European Economic Area) countries and not just the EU.From 2 August 2021, citizens and companies from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway will also be able to register .EU domains and their variants (Eurid also provides variants with international characters (IDN) as well as Cyrillic and Greek).The .EU TLD has no other restrictions on the application, other than that the applicant party must be based within the EU or EEA.
