23 ​nice nominations in Norway

23 nice nominations for the annual Gullruten Award – honouring excellent TV productions - announced today.

The production company Monster have as many as 20 nominations in all categories for the prestigious award. Strix has two and Novemberfilm one nomination.

The drama series Nobel is highlighted as one of the big winners with as many as 10 nominations. Nobel has already won several awards such as Prix Europa. The series was sold to Netflix a few months back, and is watched all over the world.

Drama Nobel may be one of the big winners at the Norwegian Gullruten Award Show in May.

The rating-killer The Farm from Strix Norway has a doubled chance of winning the Competition Reality Category with both the 12^th season of the original farming format and the first celebrity version places among the nominations. THE FARM is a long running success in Norway placing on top of all the charts every time it comes back on air. The Celebrity version that aired earlier this year, had an average of impressive 974.000 viewers, and an average share of 53,4% in P12+, and 57,8% in the commercial target group P20-49. That’s the highest rated series on TV 2 ever, so it might not be a surprise that the nice format was picked for the awards.

The jury had 500 shows to choose between, and announced 72 nominations in 18 categories. The Award Show will be held in Bergen, Norway May 12^th.

Gullruten also hand out awards to extraordinary individuals working in the business, and 10 of the nominated professionals have worked on Monster productions such as Skal vi danse (Strictly come dancing), Unge lovende (Young and promising) and Nobel as photographers, directors, editors, scriptwriters, sound engineers, graphic designers and costume- and makeup.

Participant of the year: Nina Blomli, En dag I livet (A day in the life), Monster

Best female host: En kveld hos Kloppen (Dinner at My Place), Monster

Best current affair or news programme: Insider FEM, Novemberfilm
