​The Expedition from Baluba stands out at the Ria Awards

The Expedition, produced by NENT Studios production company Baluba, is highlighted in four categories at the Ria Gala Awards announced this week.

NENT and NENT Studios stand out among the nominees for the Swedish Ria Awards. The Baluba-format The Expedition (Expeditionen) is nominated in four categories; Best idea, Best Sound, Best Producer and Achievement of the Year. The last category particularly honors the team on location that climbed to the top of the mountain, David N, Gustav Å, Henrik P and Gösta T.

In the format The Expedition, one of Sweden´s most merited adventurer, Johan Ernst Nilsson, challenges six celebrities to go through a life changing adventure. In only ten days, the team climb one of the most challenging mountains in the Himalayas, Lobuche Peak, 6119 meter above sea level. The show aired on TV4 autumn 2019.

Josephine Bornebush from the Viaplay original Love me (Älska mig) has a chance to become Storyteller of the Year. And VP international Scripted Content, Fredrik Ljungberg, is one of three people nominated in the category Customer of the Year.

There are all together 42 nominees competing for 14 awards, honoring the team behind the best shows that aired on Swedish television and/or online in 2019. The winners will be announced at the Ria Gala at Cirkus Stockholm 12 March, and the award is organized by Film&TV-Producentarna.
